As an AI language model, I do not have a native language, but I can provide a translation of the text in Swedish to English:
Curling: Its the only Olympic sport we all hear about, but we dont know much about it. A lot of people sweeping the ice – how hard can it be? Well, with the Winter Olympics in mind, five days of staff and I went to find out if we have what it takes to go for gold in curling. Are you curious about curling? We learned everything about this Olympic sport! Feb.15.201803:16 We met the Long Island Curling Club for an afternoon of curling 101. They taught us all the basics like how to throw the stone, brush the ice, and the rules of the sport. Honestly, Im still a little fuzzy on the details. While it looks like its the first time, this is quite complicated. Ready, set, CURL! Tyler Essary / TODAY Once we got the basics (or at least we thought we did), it was time to play a real game. We divided into two teams and started sweeping the ice. Things got competitive quickly. Dylan Dreyer and Craig Melvin model crazy Norwegian curling uniforms Feb.14.201801:28 During a curling competition, you have to run on the ice. And its not easy, even if you have protective rubber soles around your sneakers. Once youve checked the ice, you have to add another skill: brush the ice as hard as possible to warm it up, so the stone slides easily. Essentially, youre pulling a very slippery floor while running on it. (As if sweeping the floor wasnt bad enough?) If you think that was challenging, it gets harder. Throwing the curling stone is a doozy. It requires a lot of coordination, which I really dont have. You have to lead with one foot while moving your opposite arm and wrist and let that stone go – within a few seconds. I fell more than once and tried to master this part of the game. This is much harder than it looks! Tyler Essary / TODAY Despite being physically exhausting, I cant remember the last time I had this much fun exercising. We laughed through the whole game and learned along the way. Beijing, here we come? Not so fast! I think we need more than four years to get good enough to go for gold.
